On Thursday, we finally were able to see the Summers. We had hoped we would, but never knew for sure, but Emily made it happen and we are SO SO glad she did. We met at a mall (super lame one) and started to catch up on the last 2.75 years. Oh how we have missed them!
Then me, Amy, Emily & Robbie took all the kids (13) to Red Robin for lunch. We were quite the sight. But the kids were very well behaved and were having so much fun talking and playing that it was pretty enjoyable. Andy joined us toward the end of lunch and I was very happy about that!
After lunch, we headed back to the hotel for some more water park fun.
On Friday, we met at the Hogel Zoo and with ALL our kids, it was quite the adventure (sam only got lost a dozen times or so)! It was a busy, hot day at the zoo! The highlight was the bird show for sure. Now, I'm not much of a bird fan (actually I can't stand birds!) but this bird show was so amazing and fun and we all loved it!
Saying good bye was so hard. I love Amy and Emily both so much and their kids as well! The trip ended up being one of my very favorites and I am so thankful we were able to take it!!!
