The greatest joys in life are experienced in happy family relationships... the cultivation of a happy home requires effort and energy, forgiveness and patience, love and endurance and sacrifice, but it is worth all of this and more. -Gordon B. Hinkley

Happy 5th Birthday Trace!

Taking a break to play ball

Well, this post is late, lucky Trace is too sweet to care! Our Tracer-boy turned 5 on Friday, June 13. He was also born on a Friday the 13th so that was pretty cool.

We had cinnamon rolls for breakfast and pepperoni pizza for dinner, per his request. During dinner he said, "after we eat, all the people come over and we have the party." Poor guy, he had been waiting so patiently for it to be his turn to have a birthday party, after watching mine, Rian's & Sam's parties. We told him that we were just having a special party for him with just our family, a few presents and the brownies (per his request). He is so sweet and easy to please and he was perfectly happy with his humble little party. That is something I notice & love so much about my Tracer-boy. He never really asks for much and is really so easy to please.

Trace is very careful and cautious when it comes to new physical activities. He hasn't ever really shown interest in riding a bike so we never got him one. Well, we decided it was time for him to learn, since he is turning 5!! So he chose a bike for his birthday and I am so proud of him for going out of his comfort zone (he would usually prefer to stand back and watch) and doing so well at learning to ride it.

I just love my Tracer-boy so much. He loves to help in any way. Trace loves anything music and knows the words to every song he has ever heard! The boy has rhythm! He is a master at sign language. He loves to cook and read and be with daddy out in the garage or yard. He loves his brother and sisters! He is so sweet and sensitive and there has always been a soft spot in my heart for his sweetness. HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY my sweet Trace!!
