It's been almost a month since I got home from Hawaii and even though I am knee deep in moving boxes, I thought I would take a quick break and post a few pictures (not to mention it's been quite some time since I have posted anything... you could say we have been busy!).
Rian came along with me this time (for the first 6 days) and it was just so much fun!! We hiked and swam and showed her around. I just loved having her with us, plus it helped me not be so homesick.
When Rian left, Ang and I had 4 more days to hang out. It was awesome. We did hot yoga and a we went on a killer hike, OH, and we almost got eaten by a 15 ft bull shark. No big deal. (AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!)
Seriously we did and I didn't go back into the ocean after that. I only had 2 days left but we hung by the pool for those 2 days.
Rian's first time to the beach in Hawaii. We couldn't have picked a more perfect day...
We have to teach that girl how to jump for pictures, but seriously, look at those arms and legs. :)
Me and Rian
We saw waterfalls on our hike the next day...
Not to mention incredible views...
Yes I took this picture while she threatened me and I'm for sure going to post it!!
It felt like we were on top of the world.
That trail felt like it was right on the edge of the world at times!
We took Rian to the Hilton and made her take the obligatory picture... she is such a good sport!
The most amazing sunsets every night from Ang's deck.
Hunting for shells at Makalawena...
Some of the mini shells that Rian found. Can you see her in the background still hunting??
Rian taking pictures...
Sisters. I love her.
We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day at Makalawena! Here we are, the 3 of us.
Rinsing off in the fresh water pools...
Did I mention the beautiful sunsets?
After Rian left, we went down into Wiapeo Valley...
We hiked what is called the Z-trail. It zigzags up the side of the mountain. It was the first time hiking it for both of us. We were dripping sweat the whole time because it basically went strait up the whole time but boy did that make for some breath-taking views.
Here is the trail from the other side of the beach... can you see the Z? It's faint, but you can get the idea.
We were exhausted afterwards but came home to yet another beautiful sunset.
On my last day we did hot yoga in the morning and spent the rest of the day by the pool (remember the shark?!), reading and napping. It was such a wonderful trip!

Wow! Beautiful pictures and nice to read you had such a great time with your sister and daughter!
Looks amazing! As always, your photos are beautiful, as are the subjects. :) I know I wouldn't like the hot yoga though. I don't like the heat. :) Why are you knee deep in moving boxes?
