Congratulations?

So when you get called to be the

Relief Society President, why does

everyone

say "congratulations!"?

Congratulations?

Congratulations seems appropriate for something

you were trying really hard to achieve

or had worked or waited for.

None of those are the case in this circumstance.

I am sure I have said this before to others

who had received a big new calling.

In fact, I am sure I said it 2 weeks

before when our new Bishop was called!

But now that it is me with the BIG new calling I find it strange.

But what is one to say??

I just say "thank you" because truly I am so thankful.

And so blessed.
