The greatest joys in life are experienced in happy family relationships... the cultivation of a happy home requires effort and energy, forgiveness and patience, love and endurance and sacrifice, but it is worth all of this and more. -Gordon B. Hinkley

Lulu turns 1

She is as sweet and wonderful as ever on this 1st birthday of hers!
She loves drinking whole milk from a big cup (no more bottles for this big girl)...

Her very favorite thing is anything super soft and super cuddly, like this little lamb Auntie Ang got her for her birthday...

After having homemade chicken noodle soup for dinner (her favorite!) she was very excited about her giant cupcake with pink frosting!

Make a wish beautiful baby girl...

She knew (instinctively) to start with the pink stuff!
That little hand of hers was going in fast motion!!
Oh, those cheeks...
And she finished the night off with a warm bath in the sink...
She was very happy!
I love my little Lucy, that is no secret. I am and so thankful that she is healthy and happy on her 1st birthday. But I can honestly say that the tears I shed (yes, I did cry)on her birthday were 70% joy and 30% heartache. How can it be that my little baby is growing up so fast. Oh can't someone please slow down time just for a while so I can keep her cuddled in my arms, content just to be my little baby for a while longer?!?! Oh, please.

She looks so cute with the lamb and her cupcake. What a little sweetheart. I can't believe she's one already and we still haven't met her yet! Call me sometime, I miss you!

Happy Birthday sweet Lucy. She looks so happy and so loved. Doesn't look like her big day could have been better!

My heart breaks with yours Jen! My baby turns 1 next month and I don't know how that is possible!
