Andy didn't get up for his usual early morning basketball, so I go up for a not quite so early bike ride. I came downstairs to Trace and Sam having bowls of vanilla ice cream that they had dished up themselves. It was not a "good choice" as we like to say around here, but at least they had put the ice cream back into the freezer so there really wasn't much of a mess to clean up. I am easily pleased these days... It was chilly outside but the bike ride was refreshing. When I got home I rushed Rian to get dressed and have breakfast while I made her lunch and out the door she went with her backpack and helmet, hopped on her bike and off to school she went. She is such an angel and I am so thankful for what a good girl she is, I just love her.
The little kids wanted breakfast ( I thought that that was what the ice cream was) so got them banana's and cereal and then turned on PBS kids in hopes of getting in a quick shower. Cali came up while I was in the shower, (as she likes to do and I am glad when she does because that is just one less child downstairs getting into trouble) and grabbed my glasses off the counter and brought then to me. I told her thank you and to please put them back on the counter so they don't get brok... couldn't even get the words out before she broke them. I live in my glasses because my contacts are too much of a pain and I think they hide the bags under my eyes a bit.
Anyway, my glasses are broken, I can't find my contacts and I am running late so I have to wear my prescription sunglasses as I rush the 3 little kids into the car to take them to my neighbors house so she can watch them during my doctor appt. How very kind of her... thank you Emily so much! On the way to the dr. I remember that I never ate breakfast and I am super hungry and I have a killer headache. Nothing much I could do about it at that point as I was already running late. But I got to the appointment on time and the real good news of the day is that I am...
16 weeks along and everything seems healthy and strong with the baby. So if you have made it this far in my rambling, you know our news, that we are adding another baby to our family in late March. And that I have been on an emotional and physical roller-coaster for the last 16 weeks or so. I am not a big fan of pregnancy, I won't lie about that, but I do so love my babies with every ounce of my heart and so I am very excited to bring another little spirit into our family. Rian is very concerned if it is a boy that he will be "like Sam". Anyone who knows Sam can kind of understand her concern as he tends to be a bit of a terror. But man that boy is such a heart stealer and he is so quick to forgive and love and he never fails to entertain. My point to Rian was what would our family be without Sam? It would be incomplete. And so this baby will fill his/her spot in our family too. (Could I be so lucky to have another Rian?!?!?! )
And that is my morning so far. I am off to take a nap.
I think I will attach a picture just to make this post interesting...
