The greatest joys in life are experienced in happy family relationships... the cultivation of a happy home requires effort and energy, forgiveness and patience, love and endurance and sacrifice, but it is worth all of this and more. -Gordon B. Hinkley

She turned 14 (almost 2 months ago!)

Yes, Rian turned 14 on Feb 10th. She went to her first church dance and loved it (and danced with boys... slowly!) and is going to graduate from 8th grade in just a few short months and she is registered for high school, which makes me want to cry and makes her want to jump for joy!

Rian... what can I say about Rian?  She was born special.  Heavenly Father knew the world needed spirits with strength and courage and integrity and so he sent her.  For some reason that I am eternally grateful for, he sent her to me.

Rian is one of those remarkable girls whose inner beauty matches her outer beauty and that is so rare these days.  She is smart and kind and fun and beautiful.  She is a blessing and a joy to anyone who truly knows her.  She is an example to me of patience, kindness, perseverance, obedience, forgiveness and love.

Her siblings adore her!!  She still plays with them and takes time to make them feel loved and special.  She uplifts and encourages and cheers them on.

I love her so very much.  There are no words to say how grateful I am that she is  my daughter.

Happy Birthday Rian
