i thought i would post some recent pictures

i love having my big family. but somehow in the business of life, i worry that my kids miss out on improtant things. like learning to ride a bike, without training wheels. i just think it is andy's job to teach the kids these things (honestly, i don't have the patience), but for some reason it hasn't happened. trace is turning 8 this summer. yah, i have guilt.
so a few saturdays ago, we headed over to a parking lot to try out a method that andy found online and he thought would work best for trace. i just go along with it... he removed the pedals all together, to teach balance.
to make a long story short, we made great progress, but neither of the boys left that day knowing how to ride. i tried to get trace back on the bike later that day and we both ended up crying... see, i honestly do not have the patience. and now it is weeks later. uggh! is there anyone out there who can teach my boys to ride their bikes??
BTW-my friend jessica taught rian to ride her bike.

Jen, the balance trick worked w/Bailey last summer, when she was just 6. It took her sweet, little stubbon head a while to get the hang of it, but now she's got her pedals back on & is zooming up & down the street. Mike had to teach her too, because she & I are WAY too alike for that to end well. ;) Keep your chin up, they'll learn.

That is right. I totally forgot that I was the one that taught her!! Have Rian teach the boys. laqst year Bnks wanted to learn but he wouldn't let Alex or me teach him. So the big kids taight him!! Works for me!! miss you.
I haven't tried with John yet this year, but he is so nervous. Our girls had more guts than he does. :) I think it's like potty training, when their ready, it comes really fast, but some kids it takes a while. No Mom guilt Jen!!
